Can’t find a book in the Jackson Memorial Library collection? We are happy to make an interlibrary loan (ILL) request for you. We work with other Maine State Libraries to provide this service to you free of charge. Please CHECK OUR COLLECTION HERE first to make sure we don’t have the item on our shelves!
When making requests, please keep in mind that the checkout time frame for most interlibrary loan books is limited, based on the lending library’s needs. While some items are renewable, others are not. Prompt pick-up and return of an ILL item is essential in order to allow adequate time for patron reading and timely return for transport back to the lending library.
Please note, the interlibrary loan system switched to a new courier service this fall and we have been experiencing delayed transit times, with most books taking 3-4 weeks to arrive (compared to the usual 1-2 weeks when the system runs smoothly). Please bear this in mind when requesting your book(s).
Only the fields marked as “required” are required. If you need LARGE PRINT, please mention this in the “Additional Message” field.
